I took over this panel on the fourth floor of the Kennedy Building to hang my recent work. The Painting show was curated by Joe Ketner, who was once the Director of the Rose Museum at Brandeis University, and is now at Emerson. My work was not chosen to participate.
I'm still upset about the Art:Raw fiasco. It feels better to know that every artist I contacted from the show felt the same way. The situation got even worse the other day, but I'm too exhausted to write about it.
I'm not in very good spirits lately. Peggy was kind enough to give me some "pre-owned" canvases from her stash. Now I feel a little less stressed over not being able to afford art materials. I'm all set with paint, but I'm upset that I can't afford the wood and canvas to make another piece like the one pictured above. It was very difficult for me to ask for help. When I said this to her she sort of laughed, and I said, "Yeah I should probably get used to it, huh?"
